NORTH WALES ROAD RUNNERS CLUB MEMBERSHIP DETAILS

North Wales Road Runners Club is based in Llandudno from John Bright’s School Sports Faculty. The club was formed in the 1980’s to promote Amateur Athletics, with a specific interest in Road Running and Racing.

We cater for runners of all abilities. We regret that we are not in a position currently to offer membership to persons under 18 years of age.  Go to membership section for more  information

A description of our year’s programme is detailed below:

*January – The Club annual subsidized dinner and presentation.

*February – We organize the Nick Beer 10km race around the Great Orme.

*Summer – A fun team relay is organized along the promenade in Llandudno with a meal afterwards.

*December – Before Christmas we organize a handicapped short race from the promenade in Llandudno, followed by a buffet.

Club Championship – For the running season the club selects approximately 15 local races to form the championship, with your best four short and four long times to count. This is divided into groups based on ability, so slower runners have an equal chance of winning awards. The races are detailed on the club face book page and the website.

Runners are also covered by insurance when on an activity organized by the club. We welcome both competitive and social runners.

Training

*Every Tuesday at 7pm there is a club training run of around 6 miles from John Bright’s. Ladies are always accompanied.

*Every Thursday at 7pm there is a club coaching session concentrating on speed work. All welcome.
