NICK BEER 10K NOW SOLD OUT but 1k fun run option for children in support of St David’s Hospice

THE NICK BEER 10K ROAD RACE IS NOW SOLD OUT AFTER RACE ORGANISERS REACHED THEIR 500 LIMIT.

There is however an option for children with a 1k fun on Llandudno promenade run in support of St David’s Hospice (*See details below).

The ever-popular Nick Beer 10k race reached their target on Tuesday 5th July when the final seven entries were received andJoint race organiser Kay Hatton confirmed that NO FURTHER ENTRIES WOULD BE ALLOWED. He also said that star runner, Matt Clowes, a previous winner, has also entered and is predicting a sub-30!’

St David’s Hospice are also holding a children’s 1k fun run at 9.30am on the prom near race HQ.

This major 10k event on Sunday July 18th (10am start), always attracts hundreds of runners from across the UK, and beyond, to enjoy the scenic splendours of a challenging course around Llandudno’s Great Orme.

Starting and finishing opposite the Imperial Hotel and at the REVISED START TIME OF 10am, this will be the 29th annual run to help commemorate the life of a well-known former local athlete, Nick Beer, who sadly passed away in 1992, aged just 27, after eventually losing his battle with hydrocephalus.

Afterwards, athletes will also be able to collect the second part of a unique three-medal set on completing this exciting 10k run, with an option to secure the third and final medal next year to help commemorate the 30th anniversary.

IK CHILDREN’S FUN RUN ON THE PROM FOR ST DAVID’S HOSPICE

The Nick Beer event is also promoting a 1k Fun-Run with 100-places available. The 1k run will start at 9.30 am from race HQ on Llandudno promenade and is being overseen by St David’s Hospice.

There will be a medal to all finishers, and all funds raised will go to St David’s Hospice. To register your entry, please telephone St David’s Hospice fundraising office on 01492 873674, Monday to Friday, between 9am – 5pm. Due to the limited number of places available, all entrants should register as soon as possible.
